My priorities were durable materials that require as little maintenance as possible, a small footprint with all the necessary spaces to fit my active lifestyle, and a contemporary design that seamlessly integrates into the raw Utah desert landscape. I love to cook and entertain and it was important to me that the interior space feel spacious and airy.

The house that Carey designed includes all that I asked for. It is such a great space to hang out in. I love waking up in my home surrounded by views of the desert and the mountains, cooking in a kitchen with plenty of workspace, entertaining in a space that flows inside to outside and the convenience of rock climbing without leaving the house.”
